Thanks Lynn. As a Paralegal, I have learned that the holidays usually mean more work. Not that I am complaining, I would never because I love what I do. Even taking a well deserved day off can cause more work for us paralegals when we return. I don't know about you but I personally wouldn't change a thing!

Gosh, I've been there . . . twice. Each time, there were a few bumps, but, I must say, when you are anally organized, it seriously helps things go that much smoother.

Tips:

1. Even though I am sure you did the whole "change of address" deal with the post office, make sure someone checks your old office for mail for, at least, the next six to nine months. I found that time-sensitive documents sometimes slipped through the cracks and ended up at our old office without us noticing until we were notified by the Court or adversary or client, etc.

2. Check AGAIN to make absolutely sure EVERYONE (adversaries, clients, prospects, courts, affiliates, etc.) all have your new address, phone and fax, because you don't know how efficient their staff is about updating their records. I learned the hard way that not everyone is as meticulous as you need them to be when it comes to this sort of stuff. And, sometimes, people just forget to do, b/c they're just simply busy and get sidetracked.

Good luck and congrats on your new digs!
